Illustrations: Complete with sixteen illustrations including a frontispiece depicting Thalaba and Oneiza. All illustrations are taken from Persian and Indian manuscripts in the British Museum.

The book: Scarce edition of this beautiful book containing stories of Thalaba and Kehama, after the epic poems of Robert Southey, and stories of Rustem, condensed from Firdausi's "Shah-Nameh", or "Book of the Kings". Most of the legends in this book pertain to the doing of magicians and sorcerers who read the stars, cast spells, and bestow magic power on people.
