Binding: Very good and attractive full decorated hardcover binding with a cloth spine (hinges fine, overall slightly worn, and scuffed - as shown) under a protective removable mylar cover. 
Content: Very good content (bright, tight and clean, title page has a small closed repaired tear with some creasing in the upper margin not affecting the image, internally the book is otherwise extremely good, toning of first endpaper - as shown).
Illustrations: Illustrated with the beautiful full-page illustrations by Charles R. Pettafor.

The book: Scarce, uncommon and attractive first edition of The RABBIT BOOK -- a compendium of rabbits undertaking very human tasks, written and illustrated by the British painter Charles R. Pettafor. A very very rare collectors’ item in excellent condition for its age. Charles Pettafor dedicates it to his two children. A rare find in any condition!!!

The author: CHARLES R. PETTAFOR (British painter, 1848-1911) worked in Eltham and exhibited in London from 1870 to 1900. He painted mainly urban views as well as forest landscapes.
