The illustrator : Walter Stanley Paget (1863–1935) was a British illustrator. His work appeared in both books and magazines. He received a gold medal from the Royal Academy of Arts. He was a younger brother of the Sherlock Holmes illustrator Sidney Paget.

The editor : William Henry Denham (W. H. D.) Rouse (30 May 1863 – 10 February 1950) was a pioneering British teacher who advocated the use of the Direct Method of teaching Latin and Greek.
