Binding: Attractive and very good original red full-cloth binding (hinges fine, overall slightly worn and scuffed - as shown, spine slightly sunned - as shown) under a protective removable mylar cover. 
Content: Very good content (bright, tight, and clean, rare light foxing - as shown, gift note of a previous 1907 owner on the - blank page at the back of the frontispiece as shown, light toning of endpapers - as shown, small bookseller stamp on the last endpaper - as shown, some crease to outer upper corner of some pages - as shown). 
Illustrations: Complete with the 42 beautiful illustrations by John Tenniel.

The book: Scarce and attractive first printing of the First "miniature edition" of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The miniature editions published in 1907 (Alice) and 1908 (Looking Glass) is similarly appealing as they followed the same design style of covers to the original editions, just smaller.

The illustrator: John Tenniel (1820-1914) was a prominent British illustrator and political cartoonist, best known for his work in "Punch" magazine and his iconic illustrations for Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking-Glass." Tenniel's illustrations are widely recognized and have become an integral part of the "Alice" books' enduring appeal.
