The book : Scarce and attractive edition of The RABBIT BOOK -- a quirky compendium of rabbits undertaking very human tasks, written and illustrated by the British painter Charles R. Pettafor. A very very rare collectors’ item in excellent condition for its age. Pre-dates Beatrix Potter and has lovely illustrations of the rabbit. Charles Pettafor dedicates it to his two children. A rare find in any condition!!!
The author: CHARLES R. PETTAFOR (British painter, 1848-1911) worked in Eltham and exhibited in London from 1870 to 1900. He painted mainly urban views as well as forest landscapes.
