Binding: Good original full-cloth binding (hinges fine, overall slightly worn and scuffed - as shown) in a good original dust jacket (small tears and chips - as shown) under a protective removable mylar cover.
Content:  Very good content (bright and tight, name of a previous 1928 owner on the first endpaper - as shown, some light toning and foxing mainly on the outer edge - as shown).
Illustrations: Complete with the 8 wonderful full-page color illustrations and 42 in-text illustrations by William Henry Walker.

The book: Attractive and Rare Edition Illustrated by William Henry Walker of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland in a scarce original dust jacket.

The author: Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (27 January 1832 – 14 January 1898), better known by his pen name Lewis Carroll, was an English author, poet, mathematician, and photographer. His most notable works are Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865) and its sequel Through the Looking-Glass (1871). 

The illustrator: "William Henry Walker (Born: 1871 - Pittston, Pennsylvania, Died: 1938)
" W. H. Walker (active 1905-1915?). Whereas W. H. Walker can be connected to few children's books of the period, the contribution he made to the Alice canon has had lasting merit. The brightly colored palette of his Alice illustrations makes them quite distinct without burying the draftsmanship of his fine line drawings."
In addition to being one of the first artists to provide illustrations for 'Alice in Wonderland' after the expiration of Lewis Caroll's patent, W. H. Walker also illustrated other children books."
