The book: A beautifully bound first US edition of The Christopher Robin Story Book, a curated collection drawn from Milne’s four classic Pooh works: When We Were Very Young, Now We Are Six, Winnie-the-Pooh, and The House at Pooh Corner. Selected and introduced by the author himself, the stories celebrate childhood wonder, companionship, and imagination. This bespoke Sangorski & Sutcliffe binding elevates the volume into a collector’s treasure — perfect for lovers of fine bindings, children’s literature, and early Pooh printings.

The author: Alan Alexander Milne (18 January 1882 – 31 January 1956) was an English playwright, humorist, and beloved children’s author. His creation of Winnie-the-Pooh and his circle of woodland friends transformed children’s literature and resonated worldwide, inspiring countless adaptations and generations of readers.

The illustrator: Ernest Howard Shepard (10 December 1879 – 24 March 1976) was a British artist and political cartoonist whose gentle, expressive line drawings defined the visual identity of Winnie-the-Pooh. His illustrations convey warmth, humour, and emotional subtlety, and remain among the most iconic in children’s book illustration.
