The author: Nicolas Cocquelin, born in Courberie around 1640 in Mayenne, died in January 1693, is a French theologian, chancellor of the Church and of the former University of Paris, doctor of Sorbonne, chancellor of the Church of Paris, former parish priest of Saint-Méry and royal censor.
