The book: Scarce 17th century second edition of this Treatise on the divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ by Jacques Abbadie. Including in the first chapters"Where we show that if J.C is not true God, of the same essence with his Father, the Mahometan Religion is preferable to the Christian Religion & J. C. lesser than Mahomet". The author is not afraid to apply the same reasoning vis-à-vis the Jews, magic etc. "The truths of Religion are so linked that they resemble in this respect the principles of Geometry ..." . The author: Jakob Abbadie (c. 1654 – 25 September 1727), also known as Jacques or James Abbadie, was a French Protestant minister and writer. He became Dean of Killaloe, in Ireland.
