The book set : Very attractive 18th century Don Quixote book set. Smollett’s is one of the best-known and highly regarded translations of the work and here it is accompanied by a wonderful collection of illustrations by Francis Hayman. The preliminary matter in the first volume contains an interesting biography of Cervantes written by Smollett. 

The author : Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra (29 September 1547 (assumed) – 22 April 1616) was a Spanish writer who is widely regarded as the greatest writer in the Spanish language and one of the world's pre-eminent novelists. His masterpiece Don Quixote has been translated into more languages than any other book except the Bible.
