Binding: Attractive and very good, near fine half blue pebbled morocco leather binding (hinges fine, unknown bindery work but very nice) under a protective removable mylar cover.
Content: Very good content (bright, tight, and clean - as shown).
Illustrations: Beautifully illustrated with 8 illustrations by George Cruikshank, comprising 4 etched plates and 4 in-text illustrations. A wonderful and uncommon book!

The book: Rare in such a nice binding, attractive, and scarce title admirably illustrated by Cruikshank. 

The illustrator: George Cruikshank (27 September 1792 – 1 February 1878) was a British caricaturist and book illustrator, praised as the "modern Hogarth" during his life. His book illustrations for his friend Charles Dickens, and many other authors, reached an international audience.
