Binding: Attractive and near fine, superb period full dark anthracite morocco leather binding with intricate blind-stamped panels on both covers, raised bands and gilt title on the spine, all edges gilt, and full gilt brass fore-edge protection with a functioning ornamental clasp (hinges fine - as shown) under a protective removable mylar cover. A remarkable example of Samuel Bagster’s craftsmanship in devotional publishing. Very well preserved and solidly bound.
Content: Very good, near fine content (bright, tight and clean, rare light foxing - as shown, early ownership inscription “Sarah Haselwood” on front blank leaf - as shown).  
Illustrations: Complete with several hand-colored folding maps (including Exodus and Palestine).
