Binding: Very good original illustrated quarter cloth binding (hinges fine, overall slightly worn and scuffed - as shown) under a protective removable mylar cover. A rare find in such a nice condition!
Content: Very good content (bright, tight and clean, staples showing through with rust at the inner joints; some spotting to end-papers and very lightly to title; else a very nice, fresh copy - as shown).
Illustrations: Profusely and beautifully illustrated with sanguine/sepia-colored chromo illustrations (in the manner of Kate Greenaway) by T. Pym (pseudonym of the late Victorian illustrator Clara Creed).
Estimate: (Scarce with few other copies available worldwide).
