Binding: Attractive and near fine original highly decorative red and gilt pictorial cloth binding, beautifully designed with Norse and Saxon motifs. The spine and cover are richly ornamented with embossed gilt details, including a battle scene and intricate patterns (hinges fine, overall slightly scuffed - as shown) under a protective removable mylar cover. All edges gilt.
Content: Very good content (bright, tight and clean, rare light foxing, toning or staining - as shown).
