The book: Scarce and very attractive edition of those two volumes combine in one. First published in 1859 and 1860, under the several titles of "Fables and Fairy Tales" and "Oberon's Horn," have been united in three subsequent editions, and are reprinted in this volume in their complete form.
The Author: Henry Morley (15 September 1822 – 14 May 1894) was an English academic who was one of the earliest professors of English literature in Great Britain. Morley wrote a popular book containing biographies of famous English writers.
The Illustrator: Charles Henry Bennett (26 July 1828 – 2 April 1867) was a prolific Victorian illustrator who pioneered techniques in comic illustration. In addition to his own children's books, Charles Bennett provided the illustrations for Tom Hood's Jingles and Jokes for the Little Folks (1865) as well as for books of fairy tales by Henry Morley.
