Binding: Attractive and very good, near fine, original dark green full-cloth binding with elaborate gilt and black decorations on the cover and spine. The front cover features a gilt title "Grimm’s Fairy Tales" surrounded by intricate Art Nouveau-style designs. Spine with titles and decorative elements in gilt (hinges fine, overall slightly scuffed and worn - as shown) under a protective removable mylar cover. A rare find in any condition!
Content: Very good content (bright, tight, and clean, rare light foxing  - as shown, gift note of a previous 1910 owner on the first endpaper - as shown). 
Illustrations: Beautifully illustrated with intricate black and white engravings by renowned artists Walter Crane and E. H. Wehnert. Each story is accompanied by large illustrations, often in a frame-like design, enhancing the magical and timeless atmosphere of the fairy tales. (Complete).
