The author: Pierre Maël is the collective pseudonym of two French authors of adventure and sentimental novels for young people: Charles Causse (1862-1904) and Charles Vincent (1851-1920). Great sellers of the early 20th century, the author's novels fell into disuse after the Second World War, which marked a change in children's literature.
Pierre Maël will be one of the leading authors of the Hachette editions, which will republish until the 1950s abridged versions of some of their novels in the Green Library collection.
