The book: This First Edition of Peter Pan’s A.B.C. is a beautifully illustrated early 20th-century alphabet book that introduces young readers to the world of Neverland through poetic verses and stunning illustrations. This rare volume captures the whimsy and adventure of J.M. Barrie’s beloved characters, from Peter Pan and Wendy to the Lost Boys, Tinker Bell, and the notorious Captain Hook. A true collector’s gem, this edition showcases Flora White’s delicate artistry, which perfectly complements the enchanting text.

The author: This book is inspired by Peter Pan, the timeless creation of Scottish playwright and novelist J.M. Barrie (1860–1937). Originally appearing in The Little White Bird (1902), Peter Pan became an enduring literary icon through Barrie’s stage play Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn’t Grow Up (1904) and the novel Peter and Wendy (1911).

The illustrator: Flora White (1860s–1930s) was a talented British artist known for her ethereal and delicate illustrations of children’s books. Her work, often compared to that of Kate Greenaway and Ida Rentoul Outhwaite, captures the magic and innocence of childhood through soft colors and dreamlike imagery.
