The illustrator: Maurice George-Élie Lalau is a French illustrator, and painter, born July 27, 1881, in Paris 9th and died in Paris 16th April 14, 1961.
He also used the pseudonym Maurice Manoile.

The author: Charles Louis Robert-Dumas, born January 4, 1875, in Paris and died August 19, 1946, in Reims, is a French writer. He is the author of children's stories and detective and spy novels. He published mainly under his name but also under the pseudonyms of Jean Mayeux and Charles Darelles.
