Illustrations: Complete with the beautiful 16 tipped-in color plates with captioned tissue-guards, 8 full-page color illustrations, and 20 b/w drawings.

The book Rare and Attractive First edition illustrated by Rackham of A Wonder-Book, the famous children's book by American author Nathaniel Hawthorne in which he retells several Greek myths. It was followed by a sequel, Tanglewood Tales.

The illustrator: Arthur Rackham (1867-1939) was a prolific British artist and illustrator, best known for his deluxe editions of popular children's books. Artistically inclined since childhood, Rackham started illustrating for newspapers, but it was not until he began drawing for children's literature that he received critical acclaim.

The author: Nathaniel Hawthorne (July 4, 1804 – May 19, 1864) was an American novelist, dark romantic, and short story writer. His works often focus on history, morality, and religion.
