Binding : Attractive and near fine publisher's De Luxe binding of blue full morocco with gilt titles and decoration to spine, decorative gilt rule to boards with gilt-stamped illustration to centre of upper; all edges gilt (hinges fine, gilt decoration very bright, all edges gilt) under a protective removable mylar cover. - A rare find for this de luxe edition in any condition! The print run was 3,000 copies divided into three colors of the leather binding: red, green, and blue. This is the blue leather variant. One of 1,000 copies of which perhaps a handful exist in this beautiful near fine condition! A fine copy held in a beautiful protective custom made blue cloth wallet.

Milne, with illustrations by E. H. Shepard. It was first published in 1927 including poems such as "King John's Christmas", "Binker" and "Pinkle Purr". Eleven of the poems in the collection are accompanied by illustrations featuring Winnie-the-Pooh.
The author : Alan Alexander Milne (18 January 1882 – 31 January 1956) was an English author, best known for his books about the teddy bear Winnie-the-Pooh and for various children's poems. Milne was a noted writer, primarily as a playwright, before the huge success of Pooh overshadowed all his previous work.
